Dreamy Mountainside Wedding || Rachel + Eric

This gorgeous Utah wedding was full of unexpected surprises, starting off with my worst nightmare... I was in a car accident on my way up the canyon to this venue! I was absolutely terrified and the first thing I did was call my bride. Obviously she just wanted me to get there safely, but I was panicking over being on time. Luckily I was able to file an incident report and speed my butt up the mountain. I was roughly 30 minutes late and hadn't missed anything, phew! (This is why I always leave extra time to get to places, I did have a small buffer to arrive at this venue early.)

Once I made it up the canyon the unexpected weather started to play games with us. It took turns downpouring, being windy, and then sun would show up. We had to forgo the first look and some of the getting ready and first look shots outside because of the torrential downpour that was happening. We started to fear that we would need to move the ceremony inside. But all of us vendors chatted with the bride and groom and we decided to take a chance on the rain passing through in time for the ceremony, and oh my heck am I so glad that we did! The rain passed just in time to create the most stunning storm clouds behind this ceremony, only adding to the absolutely stunning backdrop!

Rachel and Eric were champs in being willing to stick it out and hope for the best. After the ceremony the real party began! All of the guests made their way inside Snowpine Lodge and started enjoying custom signature cocktails, created for the couples animals. After cocktail hour guests were ushered into the gorgeous reception area, designed and decorated by the bride herself! All of the paper goods and tablescapes were done by her and they looked INCREDIBLE. (Raise your hand if you think Rachel should be a wedding planner.)

Once in the reception area the dancing began immediately with a fun and upbeat song that the entire guest list danced to. Once the song was over everyone was seated and ready for the delicious meal. After that we moved onto some of the more standard wedding traditions, speeches, cake cutting, and first dances. However, the bride and groom had another surprise in mind. For their first dance they came out in completely different outfits and had a whole dance choreographed!

This was one of the most jaw-droppingly gorgeous weddings I have been apart of, and even with all of the crazy twists of the day things turned out incredible!
